My passion for Social-Emotional Learning sparks from the 76 remarkable students in my class, whose stories and values are at the core of everything I do. They taught me that emotional support is essential for students to thrive in the classroom and beyond. Co-founding Suljhaav has allowed me to transform these insights into action, creating nurturing environments where every child can flourish. My vision is to build a future where all children feel seen and valued, equipped with the resilience and empathy to lead with heart in an ever-changing world.

Hi! I’m a Program Manager with Teach for India in Pune, where I get to dive deep into all things elementary – think doodles, picture books, sing-along rhymes, and negotiating little kid fights! When I’m off the clock, you’ll probably catch me whipping up something yummy in the kitchen, knitting something cozy, or jamming to Disney karaoke!

Hi, I’m a Lead Teacher at iTeach Schools and a Teach for India alumna. My passion lies in building deep connections with my students, always being there for them. During my B.Ed, I studied Social Emotional Learning (SEL) but rarely saw it in action—until I brought it to life through Suljhaav. This experience showed me how vital it is to touch a student’s heart before engaging their mind, with relationships being the key to shaping their growth. My guiding values—hope and courage—are ones my students have taught me.

Meet Our Student Leaders

I think education needs to include skills that build our future- like critical thinking, problem-solving, public speaking etc. I believe in the value of discipline and want schools to be respectful and caring places.

Iqra

Iqra

I dream of an education that gives equal respect and opportunities to all. It should prepare us for our future through skills and teach values like empathy and friendship so that we can live happier lives.

Karthik

I value respect and responsibility, but more than that I believe in courage. I think schools should teach us how to be brave enough to talk about difficult things.

Manav

Education should provide learning in comfort; safety for girls, kindness from both teachers and students, and a whole child focus. I value courage, gratitude, simplicity, and creativity and I strongly believe that sports and fitness should be an important part of school.

Manu

I wish to see better teaching techniques in my classroom, more space for doubts and questions, polite conversations and scientific inquiry. I strongly believe in caring with a positive attitude and learning.

Saniya

Saniya

I believe in fostering ownership in schools. Schools should be a place that teach us how to grow creatively while learning practical skills that empower us for the future.

Shambhu

I want sports and the use of technology, like AI, to be a must in schools. Leadership skills like public speaking, collaboration and those that enhance productivity should be taught in schools. Respect and the power of "belief" are values I hold dear.
